The Metapanoramas project consists in a series of interactive paintings that expands the two-dimensional limits of traditional painting.
Thanks to the use of Google Street View technology, it offers the opportunity to view and explore new pictorial worlds that exist in the inner mind and in the interpretation of the author, through multiple angles.
The intention of the project is to provide a whole new experience in the field of painting through the use of web technology and the Google Maps API, to display and make possible new pictographic scenarios on a new platform.

The execution of the projected images , keeps some of the traditional pictoric methods but transferred to the digital media.
Some techniques , like the employment of referential images , the previous line drafting and its subsequent painting , and blending of several color layers , are still used.
However , there's some procedures that differ from the traditionals , as the use of geometric three-dimensional reference and the perspective's manipulation.

Once I have all the images , the panoramic image can be built . It comprises an image with multiple distorted perspectives .
The purpose is the creation of a multiple angle optical illusion through the use of the Google API.
The last step has to do with web development using the latest html5 and javascript technology.
Traditional painting in all its variants (traditional & digital media), has always intended to capture landscapes, views and sceneries that reveal new realities to the viewer.
Somehow, these visual manifestations try to transfer us to a remote site, impossible to access and see otherwise.
Moreover, geographic visualization services like Google, aim to facilitate the exploration of remote sites, mostly in temporal and spatial terms that are physically accessible.
Today, the advancement of technology allows us to discover different areas of the world from distance. Thanks to Google Maps and Google Street View, it is possible to explore a lot of distant places that exist in the planet from multiple angles.
One of the goals of this type of technology is to enable humanity to discover our world in a broader way .
By using Google Maps technology It is possible to expand the dimensional limits of traditional painting, by inserting a pictographic reality into a new virtual platform that goes beyond the sites captured photographically by Google
Through this project, it will be possible to make create a painted world which can be expanded in all directions. There are no limits.
It can exponentially grow just like the Google Team is doing with the maps of the entire world.
