Mobile Cyclorama is a project that refers back to a precursor pictorial medium of immersion technologies: panoramic painting.
The concept of panoramic painting was conceived by Robert Barker, an English portrait painter of the 18th century. Barker used to display his creations on enormous cylindrical surfaces recreating a huge 360◦ painting. The viewer, standing on a central platform, could turn around and appreciate it from different points of view. These constructions were known as Cycloramas. The purpose of this pictorial genre, beyond a personal expression of the artist, focused on faithful documentation of remote geographic locations, giving the viewer the opportunity to "teleport" to distant sites in the world.As time went by, the novelty of the Cyclorama as an artistic spectacle dissipated and subsequently, this media suffered the decline of sponsors with the arrival of film and photography.
Today Google Street View replaces Cyclorama in order to access to distant geographical locations. Its photographs provide us with notions of reality about existing sites in the world.
Nevertheless, Mobile Cyclorama is a work that continues the legacy of panoramic painting beyond the naturalistic painting tradition. Mobile Cyclorama, away from walls, allows us to a more personal interactive exploration, bringing us closer to the inner worlds and particular figurations of the artist. Its goal is to extend its vision field to different imaginary realities through a more close and interactive visualization experience.
In August of 2014, Google Maps through social networks mentioned this project describing it as a "hack" of maps that allows tracing unknown artistic territory.
Metapanoramasis a series of virtual paintings which use Google Street View technology to expand the boundaries of traditional two-dimensional pictorial medium.
Using web programming as digital canvas support, the nature of the painting is reconfigured in a new format of interactive visualization which enables the viewer to be positioned within the painting and explore its surroundings.
The intention of the work is to complement the possibilities of pictorial expression using web technology to create new experiences in contemporary art viewing media. Just as Google Maps and its photographs are constantly expanding, Metapanoramas is a pictorial series updating as new sites are created in the pictorial world.
Google Street View records the entire world through photography. Mobile Cyclorama records the inner world of the artist through painting.
Based on the concept of serial printing and stylistic patterns of Mexican graphic expression, Xinegrafίa is a series of animations employing the figurative and graphic style of Mexican printmaking. During the summit of Mexican Popular Graphic Expression’s era, the images produced had very clear aims: to communicate ideas or events and reach as many people as possible.
Today, these serial images are still with us, but its purpose responds to different demands: most of them to a criterion of traditional museum display, filed away as part of national historical heritage.
Many new graphic representations produced by contemporary artists, however, are born to immediately become part of that reserved collection that carry on with a tradition. Despite some variations in the materials, media, presentation, and the use of mixed techniques and disciplines, this type of expression has not transcended beyond being a static print on a support.
The purpose of Xinegrafia is to transfer the stylistic characteristics of the Mexican graphic printing to a more current media, taking advantage of the original graphic concept.

Chaos is unleashed.

There is a clear influence of both games within the playing process. On the one hand we have the option to explore the city, perform some tricks on the streets, and chat with people every now and then.
Basically, the game follows a linear story where challenges are solved as in the classic adventure games. However, it is possible to enjoy the game also through another practical variable: by making points according to your skills. For such purpose there are two previously designed tracks favoring the accomplishment of a great combination of tricks and combos.
Modeling clay was my first approach to sculpture. Who did not enjoyed making figures out of play doh as a child? The possibility of making my own toys would blow my mind. There were no limits ... Nevertheless, as we grow up all those figures become just unanimated, lifeless objects.

This Video Painting explores the symbolic relationship between the abyss and the mountain despite being both intrinsically opposed concepts. In the cosmological realm, heights and depths are essentially opposed phenomena yet complementary to one another.
The human quest of transcendence and significance reach upward, to ascension. Man leaves the abysmal depths of his psyche to soar over the mountain. The sky, the heavenly sphere, is the final aim of his search. This artwork introduces, in a symbolic way, the overall vision of this journey, from the human personal microcosm to the universal macrocosm.
In the dogmas of Surrealism, the exquisite corpse and the automatic writing are procedures used by the artist in his creative process for constant discovery of surprise elements, both are treated mainly defended and methods used by André Breton and the Surrealists, in the first half the twentieth century.
This virtual book is based on these processes, however the work alone is what makes these methods of a really automatic.
Through web technology and using methods of dynamic content generation, automatic surrealist book is a work that itself generates new texts and images automatically from a comprehensive compendium of images and textual elements predefined by the artist, these later They are randomly mixed by methods previously created programming, resulting new textual and graphic compositions on each page.
Thus the viewer to access this virtual book via internet before their eyes always find a different work on each page allowing recourse to work and find new interpretations again and again.
